Google I / O This Year is Officially Canceled

TEKNOKU.me – The annual Google I / O 2020 event was officially canceled by Google. The cancellation of this event was motivated by fears of the widespread of the coronavirus.

The decision was announced by Google through the Google I / O website which said that the current situation was not conducive to holding the annual event.

“Out of concern for the health and safety of developers, employees, local communities and security in the local area, we made the decision not to host Google I / O in any capacity this year,” Google wrote on the Google I / O website.

Previously, on Wednesday (3/4/2020) then, Google had said that it would look for “other ways” to stay connected with the developer community, possibly online or virtual (live streaming).

But now Google has taken steps to not roll out Google I / O in any form.

Google I / O 2020 was originally planned to take place on May 12-14, 2020 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, United States.

Google also said that at this time everyone should pay attention to the current conditions, with regard to the spread of the Covid-19 virus outbreak.

Google is also committed to finding solutions to how the latest innovations can still be introduced. “Please note that we remain committed to finding other ways to share platform updates with you through our developer blog and community forum,” Google said.
