TEKNOKU.me – In the annual Google I / O event held in May 2019, Google released two “low-cost” Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL smartphones.
Both phones are the first Pixel smartphones that have the letter “a” in their names. The letter is none other than indicating that the two cellphones were positioned as an inexpensive version of the Pixel 3 line.
Now, the company based in Mountain View, the United States seems to be going back to making a Pixel phone at a more affordable price.
A leaked picture shows the shape of Google’s brand-new mobile phone that is touted as a Pixel 4a.
Based on this upload, Pixel 4a looks quite different from the Pixel 3a. Even this phone is also quite different from Pixel 4 which was just released some time ago.
If Pixel 3a and Pixel 4 have quite a thick top and bottom bezels, Pixel 4a now comes with thinner frame design. So that the Google Pixel 4a screen looks wider than all previous Pixel series.
In addition to the bezel-less design, Pixel 4a also does not forge the front camera in a notch. From leaks circulating, this phone seems to have a hole (punch-hole) as a place for the front camera.
Thus, the Pixel 4a will be the first Google Pixel phone to have a design with a thin bezel and front camera in the hole.
Because, until the Pixel 4 series introduced a few months ago, Google still maintains a thick bezel design.
On the back, there is a box module that encloses the rear camera. The design is reminiscent of the back of Pixel 4.
But despite having a box module similar to Pixel 4, from the leaked image Pixel 4a seems to only have one rear camera.
For the kitchen runway sector, Pixel 4a is said to be armed with a Snapdragon 730 or Snapdragon 765 chipset. This chipset is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory.
Other specifications include a conventional fingerprint scanner placed on the back, a 3.5 mm audio jack, a USB-C port, and a single speaker placed on the phone’s chin.
Apart from that, there is no other information about Pixel 4a, including the release schedule and estimated price.
But as a comparison, Pixel 3a released in May 2019 is sold for 399 USD, while Pixel 3a XL is priced at 479 USD.
