TEKNOKU.me – Newer LG television is not spared at the CES 2020 event. It carries an 8K resolution and a number of brand-new features ready to amaze Las Vegas where the exhibition takes place.
In total there are 8 variants of 8K TV that will be exhibited. Consists of two 8K TV categories to be exhibited, namely OLED and NanoCell.
All of these televisions promise to improve performance compared to their predecessors. Because LG capitalizes on it with Alpha 9 Gen 3 processors that are equipped with artificial intelligence.
There is an AI Picture Pro feature that is able to recognize faces and text on the screen. This recognition process will then be continued with visual sharpening while still paying attention to the appearance of natural skin color and text that is easier to read.
In addition, there is an Auto Genre Selection feature that recognizes the type of each content that is enjoyed to then automatically adjust the display of the most ideal images from a variety of different display genres. There are four recognized genres namely film, sports, standards, and animation.
NanoCell TV
By utilizing deep learning technology, optimizing picture and sound quality for various types of content through AI-based 8K upscaling. This AI-based upscaling technology is promised to be able to deliver 8K shows that look alive and accurate.
This is thanks to the content analysis process which includes the application of QuadStep Noise Reduction to reduce image distortion. And there is Sharpness Enhancer as sharpness enhancers who collaborate to improve content with resolutions below to close to 8K.
LG’s 8K TV range is prepared so that users can enjoy content in various ways. For native 8K content, besides via HDMI and USB, LG is also preparing HEVC, VP9 and AV1 codecs.
OLED
While for streaming options, this TV will be supported by various streaming service providers including YouTube. When streaming, this LG 8K TV will use 60FPS which is also certified to stream 8K 60Pover HDMI.
Not only visual performance is given support for improving sound output. Through the AI Sound Pro feature, LG’s brand-new TV will analyze and classify the audio of each content to provide cleaner and richer sound by paying attention to the texture of the background sound. There are five categories, namely music, film, sports, drama, and news.
Every utterance on the show will be isolated to then experience sound reinforcement. This is to make it easier for users to listen between background sounds in the show which is sometimes annoying.
No less interesting, users will be able to monitor and control the Internet of Things (IoT) based devices using the ThinQ voice recognition voice command feature. LG’s 8K TV has broad compatibility with a variety of other smart platforms, namely Apple AirPlay 2 along with HomeKit, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Even this LG 8K TV will also be compatible with Amazon’s Alexa Premium Far-Field Voice in the future.
