TEKNOKU.me – Market research firm Counterpoint Research recently released a list of the 10 best-selling smartphones throughout 2019.
Based on the report of the market research firm, until the third quarter of this year, it turned out that the best-selling phones globally were not the latest models, but the iPhone XR 2018 output.
Counterpoint noted the iPhone XR controlled 3 percent of the world’s smartphone market share in the third quarter of 2019. The cheapest cellphone made by Apple also occupies the first position as the best-selling smartphone throughout 2019 until the third quarter.
“The iPhone XR has also been the best-selling model in every quarter since the fourth quarter of 2018,” Counterpoint said.
“iPhone XR has contributed as much as a quarter of Apple’s total sales. This makes this smartphone as the best-selling in all regions,” continued Counterpoint.
In addition to the iPhone, there are several other smartphones from a number of brands that also fall into this category, including Samsung, Oppo, Xiaomi and Huawei.
Samsung comes with 3 models, namely the Galaxy A10 and the Samsung Galaxy A50 which sit second and third in the list of best-selling phones in 2019, then the Galaxy A20 in seventh.
The new Galaxy A line from the South Korean manufacturer, according to Counterpoint, managed to attract the interest of gadget consumers.
“This new series comes with competitive specifications and designs and has an affordable price especially in the middle market segment,” Counterpoint wrote about the reason.
Oppo A9, Oppo A5s and Oppo A5 phones are included in the list. Likewise, Xiaomi Redmi 7A is ninth. Finally, there is the Huawei P30 which is the only flagship cellphone output 2019 on the list.
