TEKNOKU.me – Long-awaited, finally the duo Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL was officially launched in an event “Made by Google” which took place in New York, Tuesday (10/15/2019). There have been many improvements from Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL last year.
One of them is in the camera sector. No longer only armed with a single camera, Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL now has dual cameras.
The 12-megapixel dual-pixel main camera is coupled with a 16-megapixel telephoto camera with a 2x hybrid zoom that combines optical and digital focus. There is no ultra-wide lens on both of these phones.
While the front camera has an 8-megapixel resolution. The two cameras are accompanied by an LED flash in a square frame located in the upper left corner.
Night mode or Night Sight is also enhanced by the long-exposure astrophotography feature.
Simply put, these features can be used to photograph sky objects at night with clearer detail.
The new feature that is the “star” of the launch is “Motion Sense” which allows users to operate the cellphone without touching the screen. For example, to choose music or reject incoming calls, can be done only by waving.
Motion Sense was created with Project Soli technology. Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL have similar specifications.
Only, the screen sizes are different. Pixel 4 has a 5.7-inch landscape display with full HD Plus resolution. While Pixel 4 XL has a 6.3-inch screen size with Quad HD Plus resolution.
In the kitchen sector, both are driven by the Snapdragon 855 chipset combined with 6 GB of RAM and two internal storage options, 64 GB and 128 GB.
About batteries, each has a different capacity. Pixel 4 armed with a capacity of 2,800 mAh battery, smaller than the Pixel 4 XL of 3,700 mAh.
There are three colors provided by Google, namely black, white, and orange. For the price, Pixel 4 sold starting from 799 USD. While Pixel 4 XL is 899 USD.
