iPhone 6S Prone to Sudden Death, Apple Offers Free Repair

TEKNOKU.meĀ – iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus suddenly totally dead? You are not alone, some older iPhones, precisely those made in the past year, have hardware problems that are prone to experiencing this.

“Certain iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus devices may not turn on because there are component failures,” Apple said in an announcement, without explaining which components were meant.

Apple as the iPhone maker also held a repair program for the two cellphones for free. Requirements, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are included in the production between October 2019 to August 2019.

In addition, only the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus with certain serial numbers can be included in the repair. To check, the owner can enter the serial number in the column on the following page.

The owner can then send the device directly to Apple or to the Apple Authorized Service Center.

Related to the component replacement program for free, this is not the first time Apple has held a free battery replacement program. At least 6 times Apple has held a component replacement program on the device for free.

The most recent, around last June, was a 15-inch MacBook Pro (Retina Display) battery replacement program produced between September 2015 and February 2017. Apple held the MacBook battery replacement program because it was flammable.

Other free hardware replacement programs are replacing adapter components for charging Apple devices, replacing the 13-inch MacBook Pro screen, replacing the MacBook keyboard, to repairing Apple Watch screens 2nd and 3rd generation.
