The Best Android Processor in 2019

TEKNOKU.meĀ – Antutu always discloses the list of the fastest Android phones every month. The climax at the end of the year they close by announcing the best mobile processor, then who is this 2019 champion?

Throughout 2019 so many chipsets were born by processor manufacturers, such as Qualcomm, MediaTek, Samsung, and Huawei. Because of that Antutu shared his appreciation in several categories.

First, the Strongest Performance was achieved by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus. This chipset is considered a pretty fast performance, the average score printed is 480,000.

Snapdragon 855 Plus was built using 7 nm fabrication. Supported Kryo 485 which was built on the basis of Cortex-A76, but the main frequency has been increased from 2.84GHz to 2.96GHz.

The GPU uses Adreno 640, the frequency has been increased from 585MHz in Snapdragon 855 to 675MHz. It also supports a series of technologies such as Vulkan 1.1 API, 10bit HDR, 4K HDR screen, H.265, and VP9 decoding.

“Although Snapdragon 855 Plus does not build-in 5G baseband, its performance includes everything. The Strongest Performance award deserves it,” Antutu said.

The second category, Technology Innovation, was won by three chipsets, namely:

– Huawei Kirin 990 5G

Become the first integrated 5G baseband SoC in the industry. His ability to increasingly strengthen Huawei as a world-class chipset manufacturer from China.

– Samsung Exynos 980

The Samsung Exynos 980 becomes a mid-end SoC with a built-in 5G baseband. This chipset supports dual 5G mode.

“Even though Samsung Electronics disbanded the CPU team it developed on its own, that won’t necessarily be bad news. Because this means Samsung Exynos is returning to ARM again, and that can increase the savings on SoC power consumption,” Antutu said.

– Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G
Snapdragon 765G is the biggest improvement since the release of the Snapdragon 7 series. GPU performance has significantly increased by 40% and AI capability has increased by 100%.

“It’s easy to say that its performance is basically the same as Snapdragon 845,” Antutu said.

– MediaTek Dimensity 1000L

Density 1000L is built with 7nm fabrication, has eight cores, and uses the Cortex-A77 architecture. Whereas GPU uses G77 architecture, built-in 5G baseband, and supports 5G dual-mode NSA / SA.

“Dimension 1000L uses the latest and most powerful version of the public architecture, the A77 + G77, while the Samsung Exynos 980 A77 + G76. From these parameters the Teana 1000L performance is superior,” Antutu said.

The third category, Most Cost-Effective, there are two chipsets chosen.

– Huawei Kirin 810
In June last year, Huawei released Kirin 810. The biggest change was that it no longer used the Cambrian NPU. Instead adopted the Da Vinci architecture that was developed by Huawei. At the same time, this chipset uses 7nm fabrication. This makes Kirin the first in the world to have two 7nm fabricated SoCs.

– MediaTek Helio G90T
Antutu believes that this year MediaTek has made a big break. In addition to the 1000L Density, it’s thanks to the Helio G90T. This chipset is a strong contender for Snapdragon 730.
